Technical Background:
Lignosulfonate,with a wide range of source, is one of the main byproducts of wood hydrolysis and papermaking industry. Under the electron microscope, it was observed that the lignosulfonate macromolecular aggregates were similar to spheres or clumps, and their thermodynamic flexibility belong to moderately rigid bond polymers. Lignosulfonate is mainly composed of structural unit phenylpropane, and molecular structure contains methoxy, hydroxyl (phenol hydroxyl and alcohol hydroxyl), unsaturated double bond, sulfonate base and ether bond functional groups,which can have a variety of reactions with various substances under certain conditions. At present, lignosulfonate and its graft copolymer are mainly used as concrete water reducing agent, dispersant, mud treatment agent, soil stabilizer, surfactant, water treatment agent, adhesive and so on.
Lysine is widely found in animal and plant cells. It has high biocompatibility no biotoxicity, and can be used in many biomass products. With a number of active functional groups, it is more active in chemical reactions and can occur a variety of reactions, such as esterification, hydrolysis, sulfonation, alkylation, graft copolymerization, etc.
Performance index
The lignin-based polymer resin adsorbent prepared has good adsorption performance. Adding 0.01 g adsorbent to 100 mg·L-1 Cu2+ wastewater, the adsorption capacity can reach 200 - 400 mg·g-1 when the adsorption equilibrium is reached.
The lignin-based polymer resin prepared by the invention has good water absorption and water retention performance.
Beneficial effect
The raw material used in the process of the invention is lysine with excellent biocompatibility, which comes from the body of animals and plants, and it is not toxic to plants or animals when compounded into polymer resins. As the waste produced by the paper industry,sodium lignosulfonate requires huge manpower and material resources if treated well. Considering it as a reactant can not only alleviate the problem of sodium lignosulfonate treatment, but also be applied to water pollution treatment. The two materials have the characteristices of wide sources, low cost, simple synthesis method and good adsorption effect. The process of the invention is green and environmentally friendly, and will not produce a large amount of waste water. It has the advantages of easy availability of raw materials, low cost, simple and easy experimental operation, and is suitable for large-scale popularization.
At present, the absorbent resin hydrogel has been synthesized, and the related performance of water absorption, water retention and adsorption of heavy metal ions has been tested.
Scope of application
Due to its high water absorption,water retention and strong adsorption properties, hydrogels can be applied to medical and health, building materials, agriculture, forestry and horticulture, food industry, beauty and makeup and environmental protection and other related fields.
