Brief Introduction of Project Results

With the help of orthogonality between modes, the designed optical fiber has the characteristics of single-mode transmission, mode field distribution matching with ordinary single-mode optical fiber and low bending loss. The optical fiber of the invention does not need to transform the optical fiber preparation hardware, and can obtain high-performance transmission optical fiber by adopting the mature preparation process of optical fiber. The sample preparation and test have been completed, and the performance is reliable and stable after practical use test.

Performance Indicators

(1) The fiber can work stably under the ultra-small bending radius (less than 4mm), and the bending loss is 0 dB;

(2) The connection loss with ordinary single-mode fiber is less than 0.1dB;

(3) Optical fiber attenuation 0.3dB/km@1550 nm, 0.5dB /km@1310nm;

(4) The mode field diameter and other parameters are matched with the ordinary G.652 fiber.


Scope of Application and Market Prospects

Scope of application: It is used to replace the G.652 fiber with poor bending performance and the G.657 fiber based on complex structure and high cost when the fiber needs to be bent and wound several times and compact transmission lines. In the fiber sensing system, the fiber grating sensor network with anti-bending can be established.

Market prospect: Optical fiber to the home, optical fiber sensor network, automobile, ship, aircraft, audio, video transmission, industrial control and other system applications. After the mass production, the expected annual economic benefits can reach more than 200 million yuan.

Applicable industries: optical fiber and cable manufacturers, optical fiber sensing enterprises, automotive electronics manufacturers, electronic communication products enterprises, etc.

Investment conditions: to understand the relevant industries (already have optical fiber prefabrication, optical fiber drawing equipment enterprises do not need to increase hardware investment).
