An antibacterial protein nanofiber

Brief Introduction of Project Results

The invention relates to a preparation method of protein fiber with infrared absorption and antibacterial properties, which belongs to the field of biological resource utilization and nanobiologic material technology.

The metal sulfide crosslinked nanofibers were prepared from bovine serum albumin. The nanofibers have a diameter of about 2 μm.

Characteristics of the invention: the protein nanofiber of the invention has good photothermal properties and antibacterial properties, and is a novel protein nanofiber with infrared absorption and photothermal bacterial inhibition effect, which is expected to be used in food packaging, textile and blood product treatment and other fields with potential application value.

Compared with similar products: The invention for the first time utilizes non-template bovine serum protein to cross-link protein nanofibers with metal ions. At present, at home and abroad, protein fibers are basically based on carbon nanotubes as templates. Proteins form nanoscale protein structures by loading nanoparticles or single-walled carbon nanotubes, and their mechanical properties and processing properties are limited by carbon nanotubes. We are the first to report flexible protein nanofibers with infrared absorption and antibacterial properties.


Performance Indicators

1) The diameter of nanofibers is about 2μm.

2) Absorption of 600-1000nm infrared radiation, producing thermal effect.


Scope of Application and Market Prospects

It is expected to have potential application value in food packaging, textile and blood product processing.
