Brief introduction of project results
The wear resistance of high manganese steel is manifested by the deformation induced martensite of the surface structure of the workpiece when it is subjected to the impact force, that is, work hardening. The greater the impact force, the more significant the effect of work hardening, and the better the wear resistance of high manganese steel. However, the wear resistance of high manganese steel is not ideal. Inlaid hard alloy high manganese steel sledgehammer is a new type of crusher sledgehammer developed under this background. The long strip of TiC carbide is directly embedded in the striking part of the hammer in high manganese steel sledgehammer casting molding process. Thus, it not only ensures the safety of the hammer, but also significantly improves the service life of the hammer.
Performance indicators
(1) Adding Cr, Ti, RE, B, Nb and other alloying elements on the basis of conventional high manganese steel, the work hardening rate of high manganese steel matrix is significantly improved, and the service life of high manganese steel is significantly increased;
(2) Inlaying cemented carbide in the working part of the hammer does not affect the toughness of the hammer, but also can significantly improve the wear resistance of the hammer.
According to the structure of the hammer head, the cost and the degree of improvement of the service life requirements, the number of cemented carbides is determined. The maximum volume percentage can reach more than 50% of the impact site. The service life of high manganese steel hammer with cemented carbide is more than 3 times higher than that of traditional high manganese steel hammer.
Scope of application and market prospects
The weight of large hammer crushers used in cement, power and mining industries is generally more than 90 kg. Due to the large impact force and harsh working conditions, the current hammer is basically made of high manganese steel or modified high manganese steel, and other wear-resistant materials are difficult to meet the actual working conditions. Inlaid hard alloy high manganese steel sledgehammer has a very broad market prospect.
