Organized by the institute, the launch meeting of Jiangsu Modern Agricultural Equipment and Technology Demonstration & Promotion Project & Mid-term Meeting of National Key Research Project “R&D of Large-scale Fertilizer Robot System” was convened in Changzhou Science and Education Town on April 29 and 30. Representatives present in the meeting included officials fromJiangsu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Area, Provincial Agricultural Equipment Promotion Station, Changzhou Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Area, Changzhou Science and Technology Bureau, Changzhou Institute of Agricultural Science and committee of Changzhou Science and Education Town, manager of Yameike Machinery Equipment and World Corporation.

The launch meeting of “R&D of unmanned technology and equipment for crawler rice wheat combine harvester”, hosted by Chen Xinhua, Chairman of Jiangsu Agricultural Equipment Promotion Station, was held on the afternoon of April 29. Lu Zemin, Associate Professor in Intelligent Agricultural Office of Changzhou Institute, reported the background, goal, implementation plan and its evaluation criteria, after which experts at the meeting offered some constructive suggestions for the further implementation of the program.

The mid-term meeting for national research project “R&D of Large-scale Fertilizer Robot System” was convened on the next morning. The project was led by Prof. Wei, also Chairman of the Intelligent Agricultural Equipment Office and presented from aspects including its overall objective, research content, research stage, periodical achievements, organizing and management, and the succeeding plan. Expert team gave feedback and offered guidance on strategic focus and specific research proposal. The mid-term report would surely build a solid foundation for the successful completion of the program.
