[Foreword] In 2018, Changzhou Jiangsu University Institute of Engineering and Technology established “Intelligent Farm Pilot Base” with Jiangsu First Farm Corporation, and in 2019 its application for “Jiangsu Graduate Workstation” was delivered and now its efforts with university, enterprise and the industry in shaping “Strategic Alliance of Technology Innovation in Indoor Organic Vegetable Industry” had its fruition.

The Launch Meeting of Jiangsu Strategic Alliance of Technology Innovation in Indoor Organic Vegetable Industry was held in Frist Farm Co. in Jintan on August 8th. People gathering in the ceremony included representatives from Jiangsu Science and Technology Department, Science and Technology Bureau of Changzhou municipal government and Jintan District, from relevant offices and schools of Jiangsu University and Changzhou Science and Education Town, Changzhou Jiangsu University Institute of Engineering and Technology and those from 26 universities, research institutes and major enterprises in agricultural fields in Jiangsu and other provinces.

The meeting was comprised of two parts. The first part was the preparatory meeting for the alliance when the agenda of the alliance and its committee members were approved and panel discussion on organic vegetable industry was convened. The second part was the launch ceremony, when “Jiangsu Strategic Alliance of Technology Innovation in Indoor Organic Vegetable Industry” and “Jiangsu Graduate Workstation” were both unveiled.

Provincial and municipal officials, representatives from Jiangsu University and Chairman of First Farm delivered speeches.

The launch of the alliance marks the joint efforts of all parties for the realization of modernization of agriculture and rural areas. And the alliance will commit itself to promoting university-industry-research collaboration in indoor organic vegetable industry and strengthening innovative capabilities with the active involvement of the whole chain players invigorated by advanced and smart technologies.
