Project introduction
Cellulose, a biomacromolecule composed of glucose monomers, is widely found in nature. Cellulose has the advantages of renewability, biodegradability and non-toxicity, so it has potential application value in heavy metal absorption, food packaging applications and biomedical equipment. The invention provides a terephthalic acid for esterifying cellulose extracted from the spider plant and indicates the coordination modification to connect orderly on the surface of cellulose to form porous fiber. The fiber u can inhibit bacteria by interfering pyruvate metabolism of bacteria, and the inhibition rate can reach 99.8 %. In addition, it shows obvious bacterial adhesion ability: 1 mg fiber can attach about 6.8×107 CFU bacteria, and has the ability of repeated adsorption of bacteria. It is a potential and sustainable antibacterial material with integrated bacterial filtration and inhibition properties. Fiber preparation and application is authorized by the Chinese invention patent.
Performance index
The particle size of porous fiber is 10 μm. The bacterial filtration capacity per mg of microfiber was 6.7×107 CFU. It can be reused.
Applicable scope and market prospect
The porous microfibers can be used to prevent bacterial infections such as water treatment, antibacterial masks and construction materials.
Investment estimate
Agitator, centrifugal and membrane separation equipment
Mode of cooperation
Patent transfer, cooperative development.
